|9-cm-Topf|A particularly attractive Hoya that impresses with its unusual flowers. The dark red, velvety flowers are reminiscent of small buttons. They are decorated with a delicate, golden yellow crown. Each flower head can bear up to 30 of these little works of magic and exudes an intense, sweet scent.The leaves of Hoya rundumensis are thick with a leathery surface and striking white spots, the underside is slightly hairy. The plant grows rather slowly and forms thick shoots.For optimal growth, this Hoya needs a bright location without direct sunlight. The soil - preferably Hoya soil - should dry out well between waterings, and in winter the watering breaks should be a little longer. Preferred temperatures are between 15 and 35° C. Regular fertilization during the growth phase promotes growth and flower formation. The name rundum may lead German ears to make false assumptions - it does not refer to the round flowers, but to the Rundum region in Borneo where the plant was discovered.

Native to the rainy, warm areas of Southeast Asia, Hoya need not only a temperature of at least 12 °C, but better room temperature and also a high level of humidity in order to thrive. Regular watering with lime-free water and spraying if necessary leads to rapid growth.
