Pereskiopsis porteri

|15-25 cm ↑|A cactus with a rather unusual growth habit: the slender shoots, (up to 3 cm in diameter, grow shrubby to tree-like and can reach a height of two to five meters. Unlike most other cacti, this species forms small, fleshy leaves (1-4 cm). The flowers are yellow to white and can reach a diameter of 4-8 cm. In addition to the sparsely distributed, gray to black long spines, the gray areoles are covered with glochids. The plants are often used as vigorous and potent grafting stock. But its worth letting this species grow a bit.
