Echinocereus huitcholensis Mazatlan to Durango, Mex40 km 168, MEX

Huitcholensis is found and with an increasing elevation the flowers of this particular form become larger and the plants become densly covered by hairs, a xeromorphic feature, which protects the plant from the increased transpiration and ultra-violet light.
