Aztekium hintonii

|5,5-6 cm Ø|The natural habitat of Aztekium hintonii is limited to only about 50 square kilometres in Galeana, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The area is essentially a single location and the population there is threatened by continued illegal collection. It usually takes several years for growth to be noticeable. Therefore, they suited to be grafted to speed up growth. However, rootless specimens are easier to care for once they are established. They prefer light shade and should be kept completely dry during hibernation, although they can tolerate temperatures as low as -4°C (25 °F) for short periods of time.

from warm, dry areas, full sun and warm places without moist conditions required, keep rootneck dry, at least 4 °C dry and light during rest season, graft recommended
