Nerine undulata

|12-cm-Topf|N. undulata is a summer growing species of Amaryllis that propagates profusely. It is native to the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa and is found on steep slopes in partial shade. The plants are nearly evergreen and have a short dormant season. The dainty, spider-like, pale pink flowers, which appear in large numbers on stems 8-12 inch long, make a beautiful display in mass plantings. There are also white-flowered species, but they are very rare.[Syn. Nerine alta, Nerine aucta, Nerine flexuosa.]
