Kieselguhr (diatomaceous earth) had been suggested to us by several of our passionate costumers, so we decided to tryDiatomaceous earth is simply good for cacti - weve heard that from many of our customers - and thats why its now in our range. The advantages at a glance: high water storage capacity, structurally stable because burned, drying and disinfecting effect (cutting cuttings, seed drying), has a supporting effect on plants with sensitive roots and is ideal alone or mixed with pumice or expanded slate as a seed substrate. With a pH value of 5.5, pure kieselguhr is an ideal basis for cacti that prefer a slightly acidic substrate, and an excellent additive for all others.
