What does frost hardy mean?
When is a plant hardy and what temperatures can you expect it to have?
We have tried to classify the plants in our offer so that you can see immediately: Is the plant suitable for your desired location?
*1 Freezer compartment - temperatures below -20 °C are no problem
*2 down to -20 °C
*3 down to -15 °C
*4 down to 0 °C in very mild areas (viticulture)
^ Rain protection is recommended for this plant (from class 3)
This information refers to temperatures that the respective plant tolerates in its native location. The information is only to be understood as a recommendation - we cannot assume any guarantees. As well as an attentive and experienced grower will certainly be able to get his sensitive plants through more difficult climates than indicated.
3. Seeds - abbreviations and package contents
Hinter einem / finden Sie alte, Art- oder Gattungsnamen, die nach der aktuellen Nomenklatur nach D. R. Hunt nicht mehr gültig sind. Wir haben diese aber zum besseren Verständnis weiterhin beibehalten.
